How To Arrange A Birthday Party In 5 Days

How To Arrange A Birthday Party In 5 Days

July 26, 2019 By James Martin Leave a Comment

Get creative and use entertainment experts to get that party going

Forgot to arrange a special party? Time creeping up on you? Let down by others who said they’d ‘take care of everything’ and organise the gathering? Whatever the reason, with a bit of quick work and using party and entertainment professionals you can get a memorable party going in five days.

Be realistic

Obviously a short time frame means you’ll have to be realistic as to what’s possible – especially if you were hoping to theme the party.

Items like costuming and artwork for some kinds of theme – Disney for example – may prove too much to manage what with delivery times and the organisation involved. Although delivery times are very quick online from sites such as Amazon, you’re taking a gamble on everything being with you in time.

Maybe a simpler yet effective theme could be possible? Perhaps just a certain colour or  combination of two or three could prove fun and easy for your guests to rustle up? Maybe everyone could wear a hat of some sort?

Scope and professional help

You may be able to pull off something ambitious or at least effective at short notice such as a disco, lights, maybe some special facilities including a photo booth, or certain novelties such as a chocolate fountain.

If you still hanker after some or all of the above get in touch with party specialists; for example, if you’d like to see if you can hire a disco in time, a search for ‘DJ hire Essex’ will yield a professional who can keep your guests entertained on the dance floor and maybe offer related services such as the above and more besides.

Maybe they can also offer some ideas and suggestions you’d not thought of? Some specialists are used to providing parties for all sorts of age groups from children to adults, so could be a great source of help – and may even be able to provide something suitable at short notice all packaged up for you.

Food and drink

You may be too late – or not necessarily need – outside caterers to provide sustenance for your guests. If this is the case, then major supermarkets often do party food packages saving you or others time in the kitchen.

Decorations

The same applies to party decorations; popping into your local supermarket or even a pound shop can provide these at low cost and of course instantly.

For childrens’ gatherings it’s often just having something to unwrap and play with that counts – expensive handmade items are often not worth the expense.

Invitations

Emailing, texting, instant messaging or even phoning round will secure guests although naturally some won’t manage it because of it being short notice. That said, maybe you’ve done the inviting some while ago – it’s just the party itself that needs sorting out!

Keep it simple

At short notice there’s clearly only so much you can do, and in many ways these impromptu gatherings often make for some of the best parties – a good, experienced DJ pumping out the hits (or a selection tailored to yours and your guests’ tastes), some drink, a few nibbles and good company is often all you need to have a great evening.
